SPMs can be scaled up at a lower cost because they are manufactured with inexpensive thermoplastic polymers. Scaled-up SPM can be employed in commercially available LC systems with medium pressure as the high-throughput preparative system.

The photo above shows the column with an inner diameter of 26 mm for the medium pressure system. It is adapted for a number of systems and existing parts.
