Preparation of protein biding columns can be easily conducted by filling arbitrary protein solutions inside of the  column and conducting incubation because SPM involves reactive epoxide groups on the surface. Wide variety of applications such as being affinity columns using selectivity of ligand proteins or examining interaction between low molecular drugs and proteins are possible with SPM.
